International Design competition for a new Temple for Ashes boxes conservation.

The design proposal placed third.

The design followed two main instances: a formal one and an intrinsical one.

From the formal point of view the circular shape represents the one that most sensibly sits in variegated and erratic existing context. The site is, in fact, surroundend by the historical cimitery buildings on two sides and by many private graves and chapels all around.

From the intrinsical point of view, the circular shape generates from a central point, which in our case houses the starcase and the "cone of light" ideally connecting the ground and the heaven.

The "cone of light" and the gap between ground floor and basement allow for an even lighting of the rooms
